Data we collect and store

We do not collect, store, or sell personal data about you. ChessLIT:

• Does not collect your name, email address, Chess.com account credentials, or browsing history.
• Does not use analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking pixels.
• Runs Stockfish 18 WASM directly inside your browser via local Web Workers.
• Runs Local AI review on-device via WebGPU and WebLLM without sending game moves to any remote server.
• Uses local browser storage (chrome.storage.local) only to remember your coach settings (custom name & avatar), AI toggle preference, and cached game evaluations.

All stored preferences and review data remain strictly on your local machine and are never transmitted elsewhere.

Data shared with third-party services

ChessLIT does not send your data or game information to any developer-controlled server or third-party service. All chess calculations, engine evaluations, and coaching commentary happen 100% locally in your browser.

Changes to this policy

If the behavior of the extension or the way it uses data changes in a meaningful way, this Privacy Policy will be updated here and, where needed, in the browser store listing.
